Hello Harmonics ukulele course
This course will take place in Winter 2026 on the following dates:

What is it?
A five session intensive video course that provides the foundation of the natural and artificial harmonic techniques and how to use them on the ukulele.
Who is it for?
Ukulele players who are looking for an easy intro into the world of harmonics from someone who uses them.....alot. If you've never played a harmonic or aren't happy with your harmonic technique and want to improve, then this is for you.
What is the outcome?
An understanding of how to play harmonics anywhere on the fretboard, how to achieve the best sounding harmonics and how to use them in your playing for a more creative and unique sound.
Lesson Breakdown:
- Lesson 1: Natural technique - Sammy will teach you the technique he uses for natural harmonics and how to get the best sound from your uke when playing them. We’ll also discuss how to read harmonics on sheet music.
- Lesson 2: Artificial technique - Sammy will teach you how to play artificial harmonics, the theory behind how they work and plenty of exercises to help you get better at playing them.
- Lesson 3: Harmonics on the fly - Sammy will talk about using harmonics in between other techniques such as strumming and fingerstyle, and how best to train your hands to switch between them quickly.
- Lesson 4: Turning the ukulele into a piano - Sammy talks about how to arpeggiate harmonics on the ukulele so it sounds more like a piano, and how this can take your ukulele playing to another octave.
- Lesson 5: Being smart is being lazy - Sammy will talk about how he uses harmonics to replace notes around the fretboard so that your playing can become more fluid, and you practice using this idea for yourself to put into your own playing.
This course will be held on Zoom. The lesson recordings will be sent out to participants afterwards so no worries if you can't make it to the live sessions.
